The University also has also been engaged in quality assurance workshops and participated through one of its faculty members in drafting a law for establishing a quality assurance agency in Lebanon under the aegis and sponsorship of the Lebanese Association for Educational Studies (LAES) in 2009-10.

Role in Project
In tandem with the project’s objectives and framework, NDU will draw on its experience in institutional accreditation and extensive network of higher education practitioners in Lebanon to coalesce national efforts for establishing a quality assurance agency. NDU intends to contribute to the project by defining standards, guidelines and procedures for external quality assurance at both institutional and program levels and participate in the design, administration, and analysis of first pilot institutional evaluation of standards. In addition, NDU will help in the propagation of the culture of quality assurance in Lebanon besides testing standards through organizing roundtable discussions involving concerned stakeholders.
